Expanding customer engagement to accelerate growth in the high-payload collaborative robot market
HD Hyundai Robotics announced that it held the HDC Series Customer Event on the 28th at the Daegu Tech Biz Center and its Hyunpoong headquarters, inviting domestic distributors and prospective customers.
The event was designed to introduce the key technologies and differentiated performance of the recently launched HDC Series high-payload collaborative robots, while giving customers an opportunity to experience their potential applications in real-world industrial environments. Around 30 participants, including existing distributors, distributors of competing brands and systems integrators (SIs), attended product presentations, live demonstrations and a factory tour.
The event featured an introduction to the HDC Series, an overview of the SafeTICS safety platform, a factory tour, live product demonstrations, promotional information and a Q&A session. Participants observed the collaborative robots operating in actual work environments and exchanged views on potential applications and operating cases in production facilities.
At the Hyunpoong headquarters, HD Hyundai Robotics showcased and demonstrated the HDC Series, highlighting its operational performance and safety features. In particular, the company demonstrated the robots in weight-handling automation processes and introduced solutions applicable to real-world industrial settings. Participants also toured the factory production lines, gaining insight into the robot manufacturing process and the company's manufacturing capabilities.
The HDC Series is a high-payload collaborative robot capable of handling payloads of up to 50 kg and supporting a maximum reach of 1.88 m. The hybrid product combines the high-speed performance of industrial robots with the safety features of collaborative robots. Its built-in Radar and SafeSpace 2.0 safety functions enable real-time recognition of the working environment and automatically adjust robot speed according to the distance between the robot and workers, helping to enhance both productivity and safety.
Building on the customer event, HD Hyundai Robotics plans to expand customer engagement initiatives and strengthen collaboration with distributors and SI partners to accelerate the market expansion of the HDC Series. The company will also continue to propose automation solutions tailored to the needs of industrial sites and strengthen its competitiveness in the domestic collaborative robot market. The event was designed around hands-on, offline experiences to increase awareness of the new product, drive initial sales and build customer confidence.
An HD Hyundai Robotics representative said, "This customer event was an opportunity for customers to experience the HDC Series firsthand in a real working environment and assess its capabilities. We will continue to expand our engagement with customers and provide solutions that address the growing demand for automation across a wide range of industries."
